Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Youth
Eco Internship Program.
Eligibility for participation in this program includes that an applicant: is eligible to work in Canada; is legally eligible to work in his/her province or territory; is currently unemployed; has a Social Insurance Number (SIN); and is between 15 and 30 years of age. Please review and complete the following application form carefully.

We have received thousands of applications since this program was launched in September 2009. Due to this overwhelming response, at this time positions for:
Post-secondary graduates: are almost completely filled. General applications from this website are no longer being accepted from youth with this education level. Where positions remain, interns will be specifically recruited.
High school graduates: are still available and applications are being accepted through this website.
Non-High School Graduates: are still available and applications are being accepted through this website.

• Previous work experience. If applicable, please describe your role.
• Volunteer activities you have been involved in. If applicable, please describe your role.
• Extracurricular activities you have been involved in. If applicable, please describe them.

This program is funded by the Federal Government’s Economic Action Plan, and therefore is subject to the Federal Government approval and conditions which may be varied from time to time. Participation in this program is non-transferable. Should funding cease, the YMCA and YWCA Canada shall whenever possible refer participants to the Federal Government representative for more information or to other service providers in the community.

Since funding for the program has been provided by the Federal Government, the YMCA and YWCA Canada are required to collect on behalf of, and disclose to, the Federal Government, information about you and the program that assists the Federal Government to measure results, to evaluate the success of the program, and to meet their obligation of accountability. The information collected on behalf of, and disclosed to, the Federal Government is protected under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act or applicable provincial or municipal privacy law. The Federal Government will collect, use and disclose such information in accordance with such law and its privacy policy available at http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca. Participants may request access to information under the applicable privacy law, or obtain more information about their privacy rights by visiting the applicable government website.
