Why a Youth Eco Internship?

* APPLICATION UPDATE Summer 2010

The number of positions left is extremely limited.  If you have not already been communicating with an approved host organization, you may want to contact the YMCA at 1-877-668-7602 or YWCA Canada at 1-877-994-6876 to find out more about availability in your area.

Also, please note that:
Post-secondary graduates: are almost completely filled. General applications from this website are no longer being accepted from youth with this education level. Where positions remain, interns will be specifically recruited.
High school graduates: are still available and applications are being accepted through this website.
Non-High School Graduates: are still available and applications are being accepted through this website.

Through the Youth Eco Internship Program, you'll gain valuable paid work experience in the growing field of environmental and community employment. During your internship, you'll establish a foundation of knowledge and skill that will put you a step ahead in the increasingly competitive and challenging job market.

As you build your resume, you'll broaden your horizons while expanding your professional network, which can be vital in advancing your career. Plus, you'll increase your self-esteem and learn more about environmental and community issues that affect us all.

The YEIP particularly encourages applicants from visible minority, Aboriginal, immigrant, refugee and traditionally marginalized communities to apply and we are committed to providing employment supports wherever possible.
