Also, please note that in addition to your 'Host Application', you will need to complete a separate 'Position Description' for each internship placement that your organization is applying for. 8. The presence of the Internship Participant on the Host Organization’s premises does not displace or replace any employee of the Host Organization, including any employee who is on lay-off, or waiting notice of recall, or absent as a result of a labor stoppage or dispute.

9. Your Organization agrees YWCA Canada will be considered the employer and YWCA Canada will pay wages to the Intern for the duration of the placement, remit all appropriate statutory deductions along with maintaining payroll records and provide workplace insurance coverage.

To place an intern with your organization, a service agreement between YWCA Canada and your organization will need to be signed.
